DOWEX™ ion exchange resins can be used to remove and reduce trace salts and contaminates from fuel ethanol (46KB PDF) using well established demineralization techniques.

A pre-dried gel resin, DOWEX DR-G8 can be applied to purify processed biodiesel, removing salts, glycerin, water, soaps and other trace materials to aid the producer in meeting ASTM or EU specifications.
